Trust Debug to remove termites and protect your home
Termites are responsible for an estimated $5 billion of damage every year in the United States and more than 5 million homes have some type of termite problem. Because termite damage is not typically covered by insurance, repairs can be costly.
Termites live in underground colonies, tunneling undetected through the soil into a structure. Because of their subterranean nature, an infestation may go undetected for some time.
Imagine worry-free, 24/7 protection.
Signs of Termites
Warning signs of an active termite infestation include:
- Winged insects, called “swarmers” in or around your home or winged parts scattered around your doors or windows
- Mud tubes leading from the ground to a piece of infested wood or up the foundation walls
- Damage to wood or other cellulose materials
Our Termite Control Options
Debug uses the Sentricon Termite Colony Elimination System as our preferred termite solution. Our technicians install a system of bait stations around the perimeter of your home. The stations are filled with Recruit HD termite bait, so termites can begin feeding on it as soon as they find a station.
Preferring the bait nearly 10 times more than wood, worker termites discover and quickly share their find within the colony. Once ingested, the active ingredient in Sentricon, noviflumuron, prevents termites from maturing through molting. Eventually, the entire colony is destroyed.
These in-ground stations have a visible service cover only opened by a special key.
We inspect and service the Sentricon stations annually, minimizing the chance of servicing a station when termites are feeding.
Option 2 - Liquid Barrier
We also offer a liquid barrier solution per customer request. However, the liquid barriers require trenching and they do not eliminate the colony.

Termite Control FAQs
How do you get rid of termites in your home?
There are several methods for getting rid of termites in your home. One effective method is to use baits that contain a slow-acting poison, like Sentricon, that the termites can take back to their nest. This will allow the poison to spread to the rest of the colony, killing all of the termites. Another method is to use a liquid pesticide that is applied directly to the areas where the termites are found. This can be effective at killing the termites on contact, but it is important to carefully follow the instructions on the label to ensure that you are applying the pesticide properly. In most cases, it will be necessary to hire a professional exterminator to get rid of a large infestation of termites.
Why do termites shed their wings?
Termites shed their wings after they have completed the process of swarming, which is how termites reproduce and form new colonies. Once a termite has found a suitable mate and a location for a new colony, it will shed its wings and begin the process of establishing the colony. The reason for shedding the wings is simply that they are no longer needed once the termite has found a mate and a new home, and shedding the wings allows the termite to conserve energy and focus on building the new colony.

What are the signs of a termite infestation?
Termite damage often looks like brittle, rotted wood. Look for mud tubes along walls. Termites create and use these mud tubes like highway systems to travel up surfaces that they can’t chew through. So, you’re apt to see them on foundation walls, cellar walls. One clear sign of termite trouble is seeing a swarm of winged termites, or their discarded wings. If you’re having a hard time determining if you have termites, the best bet is to call Debug. We’ll know pretty quickly, and then we can start creating a plan.
What do termites look like?
Termite colonies are made up of two types of termites: worker termites and swarming termites. Worker termites are small, white, and about ⅛” long. Swarming termites, or “flying termites” are black, have wings, and are about ½” long. Swarming termites have two sets of wings, all the same length.
