Trust Debug to remove remove carpenter bees
Carpenter bees can cause damage to homes, particularly if their activity goes unnoticed or untreated. While carpenter bees are not as destructive as termites, they can still cause significant damage to wooden decks, siding, eaves, and other structures.
Hiring a professional pest control company to inspect and treat the affected areas is usually the best course of action. Sealing and painting or staining any unfinished wood surfaces can deter carpenter bees from nesting in the first place.
Protect your home.
Signs of Carpenter Bees
Warning signs of an active carpenter bee infestation include:
- Sightings of large, black bees hovering around your property.
- Presence of perfectly round, dime-sized holes in wooden structures, which serve as the entrance to the bees’ nests.
- Wood shavings and sawdust-like material around the entrance holes, which is a result of the bees’ tunneling activity.
Here’s how we get started:
- Call, text, or message Debug. A Customer Care representative will schedule a visit with one of our technicians.
- You’ll get a text on the day of your appointment to remind you that we’re on the way. We’ll also send along a photo of the technician that is coming out to your home. That way, you know exactly who to expect.
- The technician will inspect your home and identify the pest.
- The technician will work with you to create a plan that works for you and your family.
- We’ll use an approach called Integrated Pest Management (IPM). Don’t get hung up on the term. It’s a simple concept: when we inspect your home, we identify the specific species of pest in your home and then find the best-proven approach for that specific pest. This means less chemicals, less visits, and more success.
- We’ll come back and monitor progress. We’ll re-treat as needed.
- We’ll follow-up with you once all the pests are gone and show you how to prevent them from coming back.
